What Are Google AdWords?

Posted on: August 14th, 2020

Google Ads is formerly known as Google AdWords.

Google Ads is an online advertising platform that makes it possible for even the smallest businesses to take advantage of the power and reach of the internet. Google Ads works using a pay-per-click model. Advertisers pay a set amount every time a person clicks on the ad. Ads are brief and can be product listings, videos, or service announcements. Google places the ads on their search pages, on non-search pages, and on mobile apps to users who are apt to be interested in the ads based on Google algorithm. For instance, this could be people who live near a business, who have expressed interest in similar products or people who match the target demographics of the company.

To use Google Ads, you select the geographic area where you’d like the ad shown, craft the ad, and set a monthly budget. Once the ad is approved by Google, it will appear wherever Google feels that users will be interested. Once your monthly budget is reached, the ad will cease being run until the next month begins.
